bobby brown released from jail

american singer, Bobby Brown was released  yesterday after spending nine hours in jail where he is going to begin a sentence for a drunken driving conviction.
According to TMZ, 44-year old Brown who was initially sentenced to a 55 days jail time last month after an October, 2012 arrest for his driving under the influence (DUI) conviction checked into Los Angeles County Jail at 9:58am Wednesday and was released at 6:58pm the same day.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department spokesman, Steve Whitmore who initially speculated that Brown ‘will likely be free in eight or nine days’, says overcrowding in jails is to blame for the singer’s early release
The arrest was Brown’s second in seven months as he had earlier been arrested for a DUI and driving with a suspended license. He is now on a 4-year probation and has to attend alcohol education classes for 18 months.
A lawyer for the singer said he has accepted responsibility, and is committed to his sobriety. ‘Brown is pleased that the matter has been resolved.
Brown was previously married to Whitney Houston. They divorced in 2007. He has one daughter, Bobbi Kristina, from his relationship with Houston, as well as three other children. Houston died a little more than a year ago and Brown has since married his manager, Alicia Etheridge.
