Goldie died from hypertensive heart disease, autopsy report reveals

Late pop singer Susan Oluwabimpe ‘Goldie’ Harvey died from complications of hypertension, according to an official autopsy report.
The autopsy was conducted at the Department of Pathology and Forensic Medicine of the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja, and released on February 19, 2013. It states that ‘the patient suffered from ‘Intracerebral hemorrhage’ which led to a ‘hypertensive heart disease’. This is according to Dr. O.O Oyewole.
Our reporter visited the Lekan Ogunsola Memorial House private mortuary at the General Hospital, Ikeja, where we confirmed the report would be ready. ‘She’s here and the autopsy report will be released today,‘ said a worker at the morgue, who preferred to remain anonymous.
Goldie died on the evening of Valentine’s Day, February 14, a few hours after she returned to Nigeria from Los Angeles after attending the 55th Grammy Awards ceremony.
According to the Reddington Hospital, she was dead on arrival. Her body was later deposited at the  morgue.
Burial arrangements have not been announced yet.
